RRTC’s Cosmetology students attended SkillsUSA state competition this week. Dannial Crispin placed first in Barbering. Dannial, also, received the Breaking Traditions Award. The award was given by the Oklahoma Career and Technical Education Equity Council. Criteria for winning the award included: the student must be training in a career considered non-traditional for their gender and be outstanding in his/her training area. Job Exhibit winners were Kaylee Boyce, Fantasy Makeup-Gold Medal, Jillian Evans, Long Hair Design, Gold Medal, Haley Ledford-Day/Night Makeup-Silver Medal, and Angela Halliburton-Short Hair Design-Silver Medal. Dannial will be attending SkillsUSA National competition in June in Atlanta, GA. Congratulations students!
